We have some very exciting news to share!
We are thrilled to announce that we have received a generous grant of £3000 from the Mrs D.M. France-Hayhurst Foundation. This incredible funding will be used to create a special haven for our beloved hedgehogs – a dedicated hedgehog rehabilitation cabin!
Behold, the transformation of an old building into a brand new sanctuary for our prickly friends!
Thanks to the amazing work of DB Fencing Contractors in Whitby, the cabin has undergone a stunning cladding makeover.
But our work doesn’t stop there! We still have a lot to accomplish on the inside. To ensure the utmost care for our hedgehogs, we need to raise funds for additional hog units, new flooring, wipable wall panels, and a room solely dedicated to hedgehog records, microscope work, research, and training.
There’s no time to waste! Our goal is to complete this project before Winter arrives, providing a cozy home for all the hedgehogs seeking shelter during the colder months. Together, we can make a difference for these adorable creatures!
