Graham has spent much of his life living outdoors, so the world of people and homes is still very new to him. He is currently very timid and prefers to keep his distance while he learns that he is safe.

He is not aggressive – just unsure. With time, patience, and a calm environment, cats like Graham can slowly gain confidence and begin to trust.

Meet George & Georgie – a lovely pair waiting for their forever home 💛

Here we have the beautiful George and Georgie. After years surviving outdoors in Ruswarp, these two gorgeous cats are finally safe, healthy and ready for a loving home together. Georgie is the resilient female mother who evaded rescue efforts for over two years. By her side is George, a gentle, friendly Tom who has lived homeless in the same area for 3-4 years. Georgie gets her confidence from him. He is a loving calming influence for her. From the moment they arrived it was clear, Georgie and George belong together. They share a calm companionship that only long-term survivors can. Georgie only has one eye-likely a congenital issue, but she manages beautifully. George is a total sweetheart who loves humans and is grateful for warmth and kindness. They need a quiet, patient home that will give this pair the safety, routine and affection they’ve waited years to find.

Meet Ken – looking for his forever home 💙

Ken came into our care from the same Scarborough rescue group as Speedy and Steve. He has come from a background where human contact was limited, so the world is still a little overwhelming for him. Ken is a quiet, reserved boy who prefers to observe rather than rush in. He isn’t demanding or attention-seeking, but he does appreciate calm surroundings and gentle handling. With patience and understanding, Ken will continue to gain confidence at his own pace. He would suit someone who understands cats that need time and who finds reward in watching small steps turn into big progress.

This lovely little family are now ready to find their forever homes.

They were originally rescued from a semi-feral colony in Brompton, where there are still a few cats left to be trapped and helped. Rehoming these three as soon as possible will allow us to free up vital space to bring in the remaining cats and continue our work.

Bailey is a gentle, caring mum, young adult, estimated to be 3-4 years old.

Harry, Mr Cheese & Toni are friendly, playful youngsters, less than a year old.

All four can now be stroked.

Meet Steve – ready to settle into his forever home 💙

Steve came into our care from the same Scarborough group as Speedy and Ken. He was part of a small colony of semi-feral cats that had been cared for from a garage and he has had very limited close human contact until his arrival here.

Steve is a shy, quiet boy who is still learning to relax fully around people. He has made lovely progress with us and is now accepting gentle contact, but he will need a home that understands semi-feral behaviour and is happy to let him set the pace. Steve is not a cuddly lap cat (yet!) But with patience, consistency and time, he has the potential to be once trust has been built.

This handsome boy was originally rescued after living as a stray on an industrial estate in Stokesley. Sadly, he has been returned to us because he doesn’t get on with other cats, so he is now looking for a home where he can be the only pet.

Percy is a shy lad, a young adult, he does allow gentle strokes and enjoys quiet affection once he feels safe. He just needs a calm, understanding home where he can settle at his own pace and build trust in his own time.

They were part of a group of semi-feral cats who arrived with us from Robin Hood’s Bay. Understandably, they were nervous when they first came in – everything was new and frightening.

The lovely news is that they have made wonderful progress and are now allowing gentle strokes 🥰

They are still shy and will need patient, understanding homes where they can continue to build confidence at their own pace. With time, kindness and routine, they will continue to blossom.

🐝🍂 Honey & Autumn – Back Up for Adoption Together 🐾

Sadly, Honey and Autumn have found themselves back in our care and looking for a home again. Their adopter returned them when Honey experienced a medical emergency and the vet costs became too much. The good news is Honey is now doing well, and both girls have restarted their vaccinations with us. ❤️

These lovely ladies are around 3 years old and originally came to us after their owner sadly passed away. It took them quite some time to settle and feel safe again, especially Autumn, who is the more timid of the two. Because of this, we are really hoping to find them a calm, quiet home where they can stay together and finally have the stability they deserve.

🐱 Peaches – lovely ginger female who is happiest snuggled up with the group.

They are a very bonded little family, so we would ideally love them to be adopted in pairs or to homes where they will have feline companionship.

You may remember Grace — the beautiful young mum who came into our care after being found living under a cabin in a large lorry park, heavily pregnant and trying to survive in awful conditions.

Since then, she gave birth in our care, sadly showed no interest in her kittens, and once she was recovered and well enough, she was spayed so she will never have to go through that again.

Grace is ready to leave her past behind and find a home of her own — one where she can feel safe, secure and loved.

Niall is one of the kittens rescued from the Duggleby colony near Malton, and he’s now ready to find his forever home 🧡

Born into a feral colony, Niall had a difficult start to life, but he’s now safe and beginning to learn that people can be kind. Like many colony kittens, he can be a little unsure at first, but with patience and a gentle approach he will continue to grow in confidence.

He’s a lovely kitten who deserves the chance to grow up in a safe, loving home instead of struggling outdoors. Niall is slowly coming out of his shell but he will certainly still need a quiet patient home to help gain his trust and confidence . No young children please.
